May 11, 2024(1 event) – The writers of Keegan’s hit hip-hop musical PUSH THE BUTTON present a one-night-only performance of their original two-man show! Nominated for a 2020 Helen Hayes Award for its World Premiere at Keegan and named 2019 “Best of Fringe” at the Charm City Fringe Festival in Baltimore, FROM GUMBO TO MUMBO features a New Orleanian science teacher turned rhyme speaker (Drew Anderson) and a dreadlock-rocking Southeast DC b-boy (Dwayne Lawson-Brown) who together conjure a dynamic cauldron of hip hop, poetry, and theatre.
